About the Author :

The Mysterious Lord Millcroft - Virginia HeathWhen Virginia Heath was a little girl it took her ages to fall asleep, so she made up stories in her head to help pass the time while she was staring at the ceiling. As she got older, the stories became more complicated, sometimes taking weeks to get to the happy ending. Then one day, she decided to embrace the insomnia and start writing them down. Despite that, it still takes her forever to fall asleep.

Review :

‘The Uncompromising Lord Flint’ is the second book in ‘The King’s Elite’ series written by Virginia Heath, but can definitely be read as a stand-alone.
I recommend however to read ‘The Mysterious Lord Millcroft’ first to get a better background story of the ring of smugglers and also because Lord Millcroft deserves it! 😉
This said, back to this installment… .
Like the other book I was immediately hooked from the beginning and it was hard for me not to read it in one go.
How I loved Jess right from the start.
She was just everything this story, and maybe Lord Flint, needed, a feisty and strong heroine with some troubled past.
And although she’s, for me, the real strength of this book, despite what the title says, it couldn’t be that good without Peter Flint!
He takes a bit of a background role in my opinion, but he’s still great of course.
I’m grateful we get to know him better trough others though, his mother specifically.
She’s another great character, perhaps my favorite in this story. (Hurray for strong women!)
I don’t know what to say more than READ IT because you have to find out yourselves if this fast-paced, action-packed train, that’s excellently written, ends with tomfoolery 😉 or more.
I definitely recommend it and can’t wait for another spy to give my heart to during these fantastic reading moments created by one of my favorite romantic authors!
